Huh what they removed arty?? well imo it's a good thing... lvl 4 fops + arty is unending SPAM, which in my opinion is really killing the game a bit sometimes... they could also fix it by making it just last as long as when you have level 1 signals, and make you lose all your energy or something. Think that would be a good option, then it's only like 4-5 shells??

I think less arty on battery would make the map more intersting and less frustrating for allies. personally, I dont care 5-40 K/D as long as my team wins, but others do and just go hang out on back door and not helping team, which is gay.

you could make the back door blowable ,or set a limit to how many time a covertops ,can blow the ramp, or make the engi time to build the ramp shorter ,etc etc etc, personaly i dont mind the settings just now ,its the cowards who jump onto axis as soon as battery starts (get a back bone ) but tbh battery always has been no more than a fun map,obj play to me is secondry only on that map and base race

on usa server i increased arty wait time from 10 secs(before) to 90 secs(now). Arty doesn't need to be called any less then 1 min and 15 secs anyways (yes i know how to count, but it takes roughly 15 secs for arty to run its cycle)

We tried the blowing of the backdoor, no one liked it, also the cov op can blow the ramp a certain amount of times no one liked it as well.

the choice on usa server is extreme. the best thing is to keep settings like euro, but the time of artillery "recharge" has to be increased.

example: first arty shot for a 4 stars fop last about 20 sec or so. after artillery finishes, it should take at last 10-15 for the next arty shot aviable. or it would be spam and frustration in some maps.

Im not changing arty back to 10 secs, no fucking way. Its incredibly stupid to have arty spawned that fast. On battery you can have 1 fop axis vs 10 allies, and that one fop can win that map without a problem.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I believe Et was intended to be played without xp save. Therefore arty was never intended to be spammed to such a degree as it is presently. US server and Euro are always going to be generally alike on most settings however, US server is far more about being a good shot or practicing to become a good shot than Euro is. Spamming arty simply detracts from one of the strong points and rhythm of games on the US server. This was not a setting I asked to be changed but it has been probably a month or so since it was changed. I can say personally though, I don't miss the arty spamming at all. In fact scroll back over posts here of complaints being made about no arty and who made them....all Euros:) USA players enjoy using their gun, face to face getting their kills, not zooming in and pushing a button:) I'm sure some will say ahhh we can't damage tank or blah blah...but I think we all know better that is not the main reason for complaining about lack of arty, some simply miss those easy cheap kills and padding their k/d ratios.

oh dead even 20 or 30 seconds or even more it would be nice. i'm totally with you on that. i love gun fighting but these settings can be abused. how? for example an attacking team on a map like supply, can waste arty somewhere and that would'nt be aviable for the defenders......

it was way too annyoing to play before. now you can atleast move a little on battery.
tho battery is faggy map.

but there is always too much arti. and it makes ppl lag,

runs alot smoother now imo too

God I truthfully don't miss the Arty however it's shorting maps like snatch, Gold Rush, and Supply Pro. Actually, I like shorter maps but how about if we put a class limit on FO's to only 2 or something like that? I know, I know a lot of people don't like class limits but you know what? We have 2 slots on the server and we don't need more then 2 FO's per team.

nova we could do that, but then it still only takes one fop to lay constant arty on one spot. We can make those maps shorter time limit so its harder for allies to win but i am against that.

i agree with zylod..i like the new settings with less arty. there is less arty on your spawn now as well. fops have to use arty more wisely.

im with ya dead arty is something for the general game atmosphere not to fcuk a whole team
it scares away the pubs and ruin obj gaming if its 2 much
there are rly few ppl who continue runing to arty spot to construct or capture something so we end up with 3 fop whores vs 6 snipers
and game is faggish camping dead....

and lets not forget to limit medics to 3 packs per life......and covies can only steal 1 uni per map----might as well coddle to every shitty player out there and make our server easier than playing mario brothers
