Wolfenstein on mac issues

Hi there,

I recently got a secondhand imac (10.6.8 3.32 Ghz i3) where i tried to install my favourite game.
After a few researches, i dled ET 2.60d but when i tried to run it, i had this message :
"You need the Rosetta software to run Wolfenstein ET. The Rosetta installer is in Optionnal installs on your Mac OS X installation disc."

Done a few more researches but didn't find many appropriate (or understable for a mac noob user like me) results.

Is there a mac user here who could tell me what to do about it ?

You just need to install Rosetta from your 10.6 OSX install disc under the "Optional Installs.mpkg" installer.

I downloaded all the files but it's about Rosetta not being installed, indeed.
I'm gonna try to find out how to instal it from the cd.

hmm it still didn't work? i dont even know what rosetta is, but it works on my mac. I dont think there should be a difference between macbook OS and the imac OS.

We lost a member because of this, she bought a new Mac and thought she could run ET, as it seems thats not an option anymore if your using latest MAC OS X Lion

just run another XP on your MAC and run wolf et off there. :-D

you can run it on linux although i have not tried it myself

I downloaded Rosetta on the install cd as Kalisto said. Works fine
I just have to configure it the way i like.
