Since the ET master server is down, you can't retrieve servers list when you click "Play online" button under ET.

Here is the solution to get it working again :

Replace the executable of ET by the one given in this archive.

tested under Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric, working

for who dont want to use custom .exe files as me, just modify the hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts)
add the line:

91.220.53.73 etmaster.idsoftware.com

worked fine for me

Under Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric

Undertaker's solution, editing hosts file works fine too.

Open a terminal, type :
sudo gedit /etc/hosts
enter your admin password

In the file opening, add this line :
91.220.53.73 etmaster.idsoftware.com

cool i am not really good with computers but was wonderin why there was no master server anymore. Ah well doesnt matter the ROX servers are the only servers i play on i dont think there is even many more servers thx for the heads up :rolleyes:

hey spinoza can u like try and simplfy that for me cause i crap with computers like i said everyone says it worked very well jus when u get a minute message me and try and explain it in a more simple way thx
